Terms of service.

Welcome to Mimi’s Kitchen. By booking any catering, private dining, or meal prep service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to the following terms and policies. These terms are designed to ensure fairness, clear communication, and a quality experience for every client.

1. Booking & Contracts

A signed and completed order form/contract is required on the same day as your deposit payment to confirm your booking.
Your event date is not secured until both your deposit and signed documents have been received.

2. Deposits & Payments

  • A non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your event date.

  • The remaining balance is due as stated in your invoice or agreement.

  • Mimi’s Kitchen accepts payments via approved methods listed on your invoice.

  • For meal prep services, full payment is due by Thursday at 5:00 PM for the upcoming Sunday pickup.

    • Because ingredients are purchased immediately after payment, no refunds or cancellations will be accepted for meal prep orders once payment has been received.

3. Guest Count & Billing

  • A guaranteed guest count must be provided no later than 14 days prior to your event.

  • Billing will be based on your guaranteed attendance or actual attendance, whichever is greater.

  • Changes to guest count after the guarantee deadline may not be accommodated.

4. Service Fees & Taxes

  • A 20% service charge will be applied to all applicable catering and private chef services.

  • An 8% sales tax will be added to all invoices.

These charges cover administrative costs, preparation, coordination, and service support.

5. Cancellations & Refunds

  • Events canceled more than 14 days before the scheduled date may receive partial credit toward a future event, at the discretion of Mimi’s Kitchen.

  • Events canceled within 14 days of the event will forfeit the deposit in full.

  • Meal prep payments are non-refundable once payment has been received, as ingredients are purchased immediately to ensure freshness.

  • If an event must be rescheduled due to unforeseen circumstances, Mimi’s Kitchen will make every reasonable effort to accommodate a new date.

6. Client Responsibility

By signing the order form or contract, the client agrees to:

  • Provide accurate information regarding event details, dates, and dietary restrictions.

  • Make timely payments according to the schedule outlined in the invoice.

  • Understand that services will not be rendered without both signed documentation and payment confirmation.

7. Food Handling & Liability

All food is prepared fresh and handled according to proper health and safety standards.
Once food has been served or removed from the Chef’s supervision, Mimi’s Kitchen is not responsible for any foodborne illness, spoilage, or damages resulting from improper storage or handling by the client or guests.

8. Agreement to Terms

Submitting payment and/or signing a contract indicates your agreement to these terms and conditions. Mimi’s Kitchen reserves the right to refuse service to any client who does not comply with these policies.
